Breaker Application Specialist

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY SWEDEN AB is looking for a Breaker Application Specialist to join its Technical Application team at HV Breakers, which works with products from 52 to 1200 kV. The specialist provides technical guidance to the sales, projects and design teams and collaborates closely with the technology department. The company has 350 employees and is growing.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with other departments to find the most suitable product for each application and propose product improvements for the customer.
• Write detailed technical reports for customer orders, review technical data and analyse reports and drawings.
• Take technical discussions to customers around the world to find the best solutions for their applications.
• Participate in international technical committees if desired, sharing experience with customers and competitors.
• Build and expand technical knowledge by leading courses and training internally and externally.

Required profile

• Degree in electrical power engineering and/or relevant work experience with high-voltage (52-1200 kV) breakers.
• Strong technical interest and good communication skills.
• Team player who anticipates needs, takes responsibility for problem-solving and handles prioritisation.
• Proficiency in English; Swedish is a plus.
