BIM Coordinator

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY SWEDEN AB is looking for a BIM Coordinator for its Grid Integration business, which designs and delivers complete substations for distribution and transmission grids. The role sits in the Nordic Operating Unit (Finland, Sweden, Denmark) BIM team and works in the Västerås office, with occasional internal travel and site visits. It supports the Nordic unit's digitalization initiative and involves managing BIM on a project and communicating with global colleagues, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the project Common Data Environment and train the whole project team to use it
• Prepare federated models, run clash detection and hold model coordination meetings
• Create the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) from internal and contract requirements and manage BIM model development
• Produce 3D renderings, animations, 4D simulations and other model-based use cases
• Implement BIM tools for use on site in projects
• Support the preparation and revision of project budgets and estimates

Required profile

• 3 years of experience with Autodesk tools, Revit and Navisworks
• Experience in mid- to large-scale projects and in several projects at once
• Minimum bachelor's degree in a related field of construction or design
• Swedish fluency and good English; Finnish and Danish are an advantage; Swedish citizenship is required for security reasons

Required skills

• BIM cloud platforms, specifically BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud and Forma
• Revit and Navisworks
• Knowledge of BIM requirements and standards in Sweden
