About the role
The Treatment Assistant (night duty) works at Brogården, a residential unit within Uppsala municipality that provides assessment and support for families with children aged 0‑12 in difficult social situations. The role involves evening and night shifts, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for children and their parents.
Key responsibilities
- Start the shift around 16:30 and work through the night until approximately 08:00.
- Carry out practical tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a therapeutic environment.
- Document interventions and activities in the designated journal system.
- Support families with daily routines, leisure activities, and behavior‑change strategies.
- Collaborate with the team to assess parental caregiving capacity and children’s needs.
- Participate in crisis interventions and acute admissions when required.
Required profile
- University degree in social work or a related field.
- Experience in assessment or therapeutic work with children (0‑12) and their families.
- Ability to remain calm and stable in challenging situations.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying individual needs and shift schedules.
- Valid B‑class driver’s licence.
