Technical Product Manager

About the role

BJAK is building a Neobank Superapp for Southeast Asia and needs a Technical Product Manager to own a product vertical such as payments, expense management, remittance, insurance, or wealth and trading. You will be responsible for the full product lifecycle, from strategy and roadmap to technical design and delivery, ensuring money‑movement correctness and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Own a vertical end‑to‑end, defining outcomes, metrics, backlog prioritisation and acceptance criteria.
• Shape technical design with engineering, covering system boundaries, idempotency, ledgering, reconciliation, third‑party‑rail behaviour and scalability.
• Make hard trade‑offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability and UX and defend them to stakeholders.
• Integrate regulated constraints (licensing, KYC, sanctions, transaction monitoring, data residency) as primary product inputs.
• Apply AI where it adds value, defining human‑in‑the‑loop controls and evaluation metrics.
• Ship features behind flags, coordinating launch gates with partners and regulators.

Required profile

• Significant experience owning complex technical products end‑to‑end with strong judgement under ambiguity.
• Solid system design knowledge (boundaries, datastores, queues, APIs, failure modes, concurrency).
• Experience in a regulated/high‑consequence domain such as payments, banking, remittance or insurance.
• Hands‑on experience with LLM‑based AI products and realistic understanding of model limitations.
