Software Engineer - Heat Pump Applications

About the role

Bosch Thermotechnology AB in Tranås develops, manufactures and sells heat pumps that use energy from rock, water and air. This Software Engineer position sits in the Electric Solutions group at Bosch Home Comfort, where software engineering and DevOps support the development of heat pump applications. You will work closely with engineers using model-based development approaches and help them build reliable, practical tools and workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and improve CI/CD workflows covering development, integration, testing and delivery
• Automate builds, tests, code analysis, packaging and releases, with feedback that helps engineers spot issues early
• Consider testability, reproducible builds, version control, traceability and maintainability throughout the lifecycle
• Collaborate with software teams to turn real needs into platform improvements
• Reduce repetitive manual work so teams can integrate and validate changes frequently and reliably
• Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot build and integration issues and address bottlenecks
• Contribute to reliable, scalable build infrastructure, including cloud-based services

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Solid experience in software development, CI/CD, DevOps and agile practices at scale
• Fluent English; highly organized, proactive and structured, with strong planning skills
• Responsible, self-driven and willing to collaborate in international teams, including occasional business travel

Required skills

• Programming: Bash, Git, Python, Go and C
• Linux and Windows
• Jenkins, SonarQube, jFrog Artifactory, Bitbucket, Jira and GitHub
• IaC tools such as Ansible and Terraform, and server administration (Windows/Linux) are a plus
• MATLAB/Simulink, NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB), Grafana, Conan and Maven are beneficial
