Senior Solutions Engineer – Data Platform

About the role

Databricks is looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to help customers solve complex data challenges using our Data Intelligence Platform. You will work closely with an Account Executive and a Senior Solutions Architect, delivering technical and business value across your territory.

Key responsibilities

• Build successful relationships with clients across your territory, collaborating with an Account Executive and a Senior Solutions Architect to deliver technical and business value.
• Drive client excitement for Databricks through hands‑on evaluations, Spark programming, and integration with the broader cloud ecosystem and third‑party applications.
• Contribute to the Databricks technical community by presenting at workshops, seminars and meet‑ups.
• Act as a Big Data Analytics advisor, guiding customers on architecture and design decisions.
• Author reference architectures, how‑to guides and demo applications to support customer implementations.
• Grow your technical and pre‑sales expertise with the goal of becoming an independently operating Solutions Architect.

Required profile

• Proven experience working directly with clients, shaping narratives, answering questions, aligning agendas and delivering tangible outcomes.
• Ability to independently craft technical propositions, identify pain points and articulate business value to become a trusted advisor.
• Proficiency in a core programming language, specifically Python.
• Strong knowledge of Big Data Analytics concepts and experience with advanced proofs‑of‑concept on a major public cloud platform.
• Hands‑on experience in solution architecture and data engineering.
