Senior Sales Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Sales Engineer at DDN, you will design and deliver high‑performance storage solutions for customers in finance, pharmaceuticals, education and AI‑driven industries, translating complex data challenges into scalable architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with customers to understand critical data challenges such as high‑frequency trading, genomics processing, AI model training, and autonomous vehicle sensor fusion.
• Design and architect storage systems for AI/ML training, HPC simulations, data analytics and GPU‑accelerated workloads, ensuring reliability, security and scalability.
• Develop BOMs, system architectures and technical proposals for complex RFPs, and conduct live demos, POCs and performance benchmarking.
• Stay current on AI infrastructure and storage technology trends, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and mentor colleagues.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of storage and data architectures (SAN, NAS, object storage, parallel file systems) and related protocols (S3, POSIX, NFS, SMB).
• Experience in pre‑sales, solutions architecture or technical consulting, with a proven track record designing storage/infrastructure solutions.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both engineers and executives.
