Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

Avarda Group is expanding its investment and banking activities and seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to shape the regulatory framework for its new MiFID‑II venture while supporting the existing banking business. The role combines strategic project work with day‑to‑day legal support across European markets.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the group’s senior expert on MiFID II regulation, advising on licensing, governance structures, internal policies and customer documentation.
• Support legal assessment of new and existing products in close collaboration with product and operations teams.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts with business partners and service providers, and contribute to contract templates and lifecycle management.
• Provide broader legal advice on contract law, consumer credit law, data privacy and banking regulation as needed.
• Collaborate with legal colleagues across Avarda’s European markets to share knowledge, align best practices and drive group‑wide initiatives.
• Help raise legal and regulatory awareness across the organisation through training and day‑to‑day advice.

Required profile

• Law degree with at least 5 years of professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience with MiFID regulatory and contractual matters.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
