Senior Knowledge Graph Engineer

About the role

Redpine is building a knowledge graph that powers autonomous agents across medicine, science, law and finance. As a Senior Knowledge Graph Engineer you will own the end‑to‑end pipeline, turning raw multimodal sources into a provenance‑rich graph that agents query in production.

Key responsibilities

• Design ontologies and schemas, defining entity types, relations and constraints based on established domain standards.
• Implement large‑scale entity resolution to deduplicate, canonicalise and disambiguate entities across heterogeneous sources.
• Attach confidence scores to links and define conflict‑resolution policies when sources disagree.
• Maintain provenance as a first‑class property on every node and edge, preserving source attribution and licensing.
• Detect upstream data changes and propagate updates to keep the graph current.
• Develop graph‑powered retrieval, including multi‑hop traversal and hybrid graph‑vector search.

Required profile

• Deep, hands‑on experience building and shipping knowledge graphs, including graph databases and RDF/property graphs.
• Strong Python skills and a proven track record of building data pipelines from scratch.
• Practical experience with retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) and the ability to judge when a graph adds value.
• Comfort working with messy, contradictory data and designing resilient schemas.
• A bias toward small, clear systems and a curiosity to understand new domains deeply.
