Production Engineer – Manufacturing & Process Improvement

About the role

DeLaval is seeking a Production Engineer to join its global team in Tumba. You will lead the development and optimisation of production processes, ensuring high standards of safety, quality and efficiency while supporting the introduction of new dairy‑farm solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive manufacturing safety, quality and operational excellence through continuous improvement and robust processes.
• Lead CAPEX investment and industrialisation projects from concept to hand‑over, including commissioning and validation.
• Analyse production performance, identify bottlenecks and implement sustainable productivity and quality enhancements.
• Promote a strong safety culture and support environmental sustainability objectives.
• Coordinate technical collaboration across Engineering, Production, Quality, Maintenance, suppliers and external partners.

Required profile

• Experience in manufacturing, production engineering, industrialisation or process engineering.
• Technical degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical engineering or related field, or comparable experience.
• Proven involvement in CAPEX projects and product introductions.
• Fluency in Swedish and English with strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Basic 3D CAD knowledge (e.g., Solid Edge).
• Understanding of Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Experience with SAP Production Engineering modules (BOMs, Routings).
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and tools (5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, Poka‑yoke, Takt Time, operator balancing, pull systems).
