Product Engineering Specialist

About the role

ABB is looking for a Product Engineering Specialist to join the Smart Power organization in Västerås. You will work at the centre of product introductions, phase‑outs and continuous improvement projects, ensuring efficient progress and results across the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and drive collaboration with local and global stakeholders, taking ownership of Active Product Management activities.
• Develop and continuously improve Product Engineering processes, strengthening links between agile development, manufacturing units and functions.
• Support R&D teams by ensuring manufacturability throughout design and development.
• Define, implement and maintain manufacturing procedures and standards such as PPAP, tool management and direct cost definition.
• Manage product certifications and act as a technical expert for product functionality, design and industrialisation.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
• Self‑driven, goal‑oriented with a proactive mindset and strong sense of ownership.
