Java Developer (Azure, DevOps) - Connected Vehicle Services

About the role

Techster Solutions is looking for a Java Developer with a strong interest in operations to join its team working on connected vehicle services for a global automotive customer. Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and supporting components in a cloud-native environment.
• Operate services in production and ensure high availability, reliability and performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, take part in incident investigation and resolution, and contribute to root cause analysis.
• Improve observability through logging, metrics, monitoring and alerting.
• Automate operational tasks and improve deployment and operational processes.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, QA and other stakeholders to continuously improve the service.

Required profile

• A developer who also enjoys getting close to the operation of the system; no need to be a pure operations specialist.
• Comfortable taking responsibility and driving improvements in production.
• Curious, pragmatic and able to work across development and operations.
• Willing to learn, challenge existing ways of working and improve the service continuously.

Required skills

• Software development in Java
• Azure and DevOps practices and CI/CD
• Containers and cloud-native technologies
• Monitoring, logging and observability
• Troubleshooting distributed systems and production issues
• Automation and scripting
• Git and modern software development practices
