Global Regulatory & Public Affairs Specialist for IEC Low Voltage Motors

About the role

As a Global Regulatory & Public Affairs Specialist at ABB, you will drive regulatory intelligence, stakeholder engagement and advocacy to support compliance, business continuity and growth for the IEC Low Voltage Motors division.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and assess international, regional and national regulatory developments affecting the IEC Low Voltage Motors business.
• Develop and maintain a regulatory landscape map and strategic roadmap aligned with divisional priorities.
• Analyze regulatory risks and opportunities, communicate impacts to stakeholders and recommend actions.
• Represent ABB in industry associations, regulatory working groups and external stakeholder forums.
• Collaborate across R&D, Product Management, Sustainability, Trade Compliance and Supply Chain to provide regulatory guidance.
• Develop and deliver awareness and training initiatives to strengthen regulatory knowledge.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in regulatory affairs, standards development, public affairs or compliance in an international environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, standards organisations and their impact on industrial products.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate across functions and with external stakeholders such as industry associations and policymakers.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, automation, motors or related sectors is highly valued.
• Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Political Science, International Studies or a related discipline.
• Fluent English; German language skills are a strong advantage.
