Freelance GMP Facility Management Consultant

About the role

ProPharma is supporting a leading global life-sciences group with an interim, contract project based at its site in Sweden, requiring immediate start. The project runs for at least 4 months at full-time hours (1.0 FTE) and is mainly performed onsite just north of Solna. ProPharma is looking to partner with independent consultants only.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate current GMP facility activities and identify areas for improvement
• Lead and manage GMP facility improvement activities to ensure inspection readiness
• Review all SOPs, work instructions and similar documents and update them where necessary
• Provide technical support for tasks within GMP-critical system activities
• Work with other department heads to assess regulatory compliance and make corrective changes to raise the overall standard of the facilities
• Act as the subject matter expert and lead or support ongoing projects as needed
• Support the client to ensure the successful completion of the project

Required profile

• BSc degree or higher in a life-sciences discipline
• Proven, extensive experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector
• Extensive experience in GMP facility management at an SME level
• Experience managing complex GMP facility issues and creating solutions (highly preferred)
• Fluent English; Swedish would also be desirable
• Ability to work mainly office-based in Uppsala throughout the project

Required skills

• Thorough knowledge of FDA regulations (highly advantageous)
• Problem-solving skills and ability to support corrective procedures
• Understanding of key regulations to ensure compliance
