Field Engineering Manager – Specialist Solutions Architects (Nordics)

About the role

The Specialist Solutions Architect Manager will lead a team of Specialist Solutions Architects in the Nordics, driving technical sales engagements and deepening expertise in enterprise software, data engineering, and data science/machine learning on the Databricks platform. Reporting to the Director of Field Engineering, you will shape strategy, mentor talent, and ensure customer success across complex, high‑value accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, train, and grow a diverse team of Specialist Solutions Architects to meet regional consumption targets.
• Partner with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to deploy technical expertise on critical use cases.
• Drive customer success, increase platform usage, and prevent churn in strategic accounts.
• Manage escalations, mentor team members, and build career paths for architects.

Required profile

• 5+ years leading Data & AI engineering, technical pre‑sales or post‑sales teams.
• Proven track record delivering data solutions on distributed computing, cloud data warehousing, MLOps, or Generative AI infrastructure.
• Strong ability to conduct technical discovery, architecture validation, and value‑selling.
• Experience hiring, onboarding, and promoting technical talent.
