Engine Field Service Technician – Level I

About the role

Join Cummins' Distribution Business Unit as an Engine Field Service Technician Level I, providing on‑site diagnostics, repair and maintenance for Cummins engines across Sweden. You will work directly at customer locations, ensuring engines run safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and basic repairs on Cummins engines and related components at customer sites.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using approved service procedures, electronic diagnostic tools, and specialized equipment.
• Prepare and organize required parts, tools, and equipment to complete service activities safely and efficiently.
• Validate repairs by confirming successful resolution of customer concerns.
• Escalate unresolved or complex technical issues to senior technicians or supervisors.
• Promote a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace by following HSE standards and participating in continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Technician qualification or vocational diploma in a relevant technical discipline.
• Completed technical training (e.g., Engine Technician, Automotive Technician) is preferred.
• Initial hands‑on field service experience with solid knowledge of engine systems.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel for service assignments.
• Strong customer focus and reliable, service‑oriented working style.
• Fluent in English and Swedish.
