Electrical Engineering Internship

About the role

Bosch Thermoteknik AB in Tranås develops, manufactures and sells heat pumps for the European market, with a production unit and a competence and development centre. Its Electrical team is looking for an intern eager to learn and get hands-on experience, covering cable harness design, prototyping, electrical testing and certification (LVD and EMC). The internship lasts 6 months, preferably starting in March/April 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Set up heat pumps in the lab, run tests and summarise results in clear reports
• Review internal and external requirements and help turn them into practical electrical requirements (safety, legal, functional, cost)
• Build simple harness samples and install electrical components in heat pumps
• Join lab troubleshooting sessions and help analyse electrical issues
• Assist with EMC testing in the 5 m SAC EMC chamber and smaller EMC tests outside it
• Occasionally accompany colleagues to external test institutes
• Gather input for time plans, review specifications and take part in supplier meetings
• Help the manager with light administrative tasks and prepare PowerPoint presentations

Required profile

• Currently studying electrical engineering, physics, mechatronics or a similar field, or mechanical engineering with interest and some exposure to electrical topics
• Curious, hands-on and collaborative, willing to learn
• Good written and verbal English

Required skills

• Basic familiarity with test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers is a plus; training is offered
