Director of Communication – Flexible Location

About the role

Join Seco, a Sandvik business unit, as the Director of Communication and lead a newly created global communications function. You will shape the narrative for Seco’s brand, drive stakeholder engagement, and support the company’s strategic objectives across internal and external audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own the global communication strategy that reinforces Seco’s purpose of fast, easy, and sustainable manufacturing.
• Lead a senior communications team of four, coordinating with agency partners and fostering a project‑based working model.
• Drive thought leadership on sustainability, future manufacturing, and other strategic topics.
• Manage reputation, media relations, crisis communication, and issues handling.
• Lead change and transformation communications to engage employees around strategy and culture.
• Provide executive communication counsel and content for the President and senior leaders.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Innovation, Strategy, Sustainability, HR, and Sandvik Group communications to deliver a unified Seco narrative.
• Oversee the communication budget and agency ecosystem with a focus on business value and cost‑effectiveness.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related fields within a global or multinational environment.
• Proven managerial experience with the ability to coach, develop, and lead senior communications professionals.
• Strong academic background in communications or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into clear messaging and measurable impact.
