Development Engineer II - Mechanical Systems

About the role

Repligen is looking for a goal-oriented Product Development Engineer in Malmö to help develop solutions for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The engineer leads and takes part in development projects from start to finish, working closely with manufacturers, sales teams and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and participate in development projects, covering cost estimation, budgeting, scheduling and documentation
• Design and develop mechanical systems, and design and optimise prototypes with a focus on sustainability, precision and user-friendliness
• Support product use through close collaboration with manufacturers, sales teams and customers
• Carry out tests, analyses and evaluations to ensure high quality and regulatory compliance

Required profile

• Degree in mechanical engineering or a similar field
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design with solid knowledge of manufacturing processes such as turning, milling and injection moulding
• Experience leading projects is considered a merit
• Fluent spoken and written Swedish and English
• Communicative, quick to grasp new technologies, flexible team player who puts the customer first

Required skills

• Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software
• Mechanical design and prototyping
