Custom Research Intern - Corporate Governance (Nordics)

About the role

ISS STOXX, a provider of corporate governance research, data and proxy voting solutions, is looking for a pool of self-motivated research interns for February 2027. The intern works in the Custom Research team supporting Nordic clients during proxy voting season, issuing vote recommendations and explaining them based on client-specific proxy voting guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Help Nordic clients develop and implement customized guidelines covering governance structures, director elections, executive compensation and capital structure.
• Provide customized vote recommendations and issue screening based on client proxy voting guidelines.
• Gather and analyze corporate governance and financial information from public documents to back up vote recommendations.
• Answer internal and external queries about the analyses and explain why each recommendation was given.
• Complete client-specific projects and keep clients informed on new trends and emerging proposals.

Required profile

• Fluent English, spoken and written.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Law or Political Sciences, or in the process of obtaining one.
• Native-level Danish, Swedish, Norwegian or Finnish is an advantage.
• Prior experience in a relevant area is an advantage.
• Must be able to work from the ISS STOXX office 5 days a week and be based in the country of employment from day 1.

• Strong analytical ability and numeracy.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to assimilate large amounts of information, work independently and take initiative while remaining a team player.

What we offer

• Remuneration of 26,000 SEK gross per month plus additional benefits.
• Duration of 4 months, from 1 February 2027 to 28 May 2027.
