Clinical Mako Support Specialist – Robotic‑Assisted Surgery

About the role

The Clinical Mako Support Specialist will act as a trusted clinical partner for surgeons and operating‑room teams, supporting robotic‑assisted hip, knee and partial‑knee joint replacement procedures across the assigned territory. This 11.5‑month maternity‑cover position includes comprehensive training and hands‑on exposure to the Mako robotic platform.

Key responsibilities

• Support surgeons, nurses and OR teams during robotic‑assisted joint replacement cases.
• Prepare and review patient‑specific CT‑based surgical plans, creating 3D models and implant recommendations.
• Set up, test and maintain the robotic surgical equipment before and during procedures.
• Deliver clinical and technical training on the Mako system to healthcare professionals.
• Troubleshoot equipment and workflow issues and coordinate timely resolutions.
• Document cases, manage inventory, purchase orders and collect customer feedback for product improvement.

Required profile

• Fluency in Swedish and English.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel extensively (≈90% travel, occasional overnight stays).
• Experience in a clinical, hospital or medical‑device environment (minimum 1 year).
• Ability to work in an operating‑room setting and complete a 3‑6 month certification program in English.
