AI Forward Deployed Engineer – Stockholm

About the role

The AI Forward Deployed Engineer (AI FDE) joins Databricks' specialised customer‑facing AI team. You will work directly with clients to design, build, and productionise cutting‑edge GenAI applications, while collaborating with product and engineering teams to shape the roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Develop innovative GenAI solutions using the latest Databricks AI research.
• Own end‑to‑end production rollouts of consumer‑ and internal‑facing GenAI applications.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor across diverse industry domains.
• Present at conferences such as the Data + AI Summit and represent Databricks as a thought leader.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product and engineering to influence priorities and roadmap.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience building GenAI applications (RAG, multi‑agent systems, Text2SQL, fine‑tuning) with tools like HuggingFace, LangChain, DSPy.
• Proven ability to deploy production‑grade GenAI solutions, including evaluation and optimisation.
• Extensive industry data‑science experience using pandas, scikit‑learn, PyTorch, etc.
• Experience delivering production‑grade ML deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences and willingness to travel every 4‑8 weeks.
