DevOps Software Engineer

About the role

As a DevOps Software Engineer at SD Worx you will ensure that our payroll systems and related applications stay reliable, performant and continuously delivered. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to translate operational needs into automated solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in daily operational tasks, incident handling and performance monitoring.
• Package releases, develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Windows services and integrations (e.g., XAIS).
• Design, implement and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code solutions on Azure.
• Lead development projects that improve delivery efficiency and system observability.
• Provide technical guidance to teammates, project managers and stakeholders.
• Engage in customer projects, attend meetings and translate requirements into actionable solutions.

Required profile

• Self‑driven, solution‑oriented team player with strong communication skills.
• Motivated by operational challenges and eager to learn new technologies.
• Comfortable interacting with customers, understanding their needs and contributing to implementation projects.

Required skills

• ASP.NET Core development with C#.
• IIS web server administration (virtual machines) and familiarity with containers.
• YAML‑based CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• PowerShell scripting and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
• SQL database knowledge.
• Monitoring and alerting using Azure Application Insights.
• Instrumentation for observability and performance monitoring.
• Azure cloud services.
• Docker, Kubernetes and Splunk (advantageous).
