Lageroperatör – ansvar för lager och materialhantering

About the role

Alstom Sweden is looking for a motivated Warehouse Operator to manage stock and material handling at its Västerås depot. You will work closely with the supply‑chain team and act as a key link between logistics and production.

Key responsibilities

• Receive incoming goods, verify product type, quantity, condition and quality.
• Maintain and improve warehouse layout, location labeling and system records.
• Prepare planned withdrawals (kitting) of maintenance‑controlled material.
• Assist with material and article‑number identification during picking.
• Handle shipments to other depots and workshop sites.
• Perform inventory checks, investigations, packing and planning tasks.
• Work independently, taking responsibility for heavy‑lifting activities as required.

Required profile

• Service‑oriented, flexible and highly organized.
• Strong team player with clear communication skills.
• Able to solve problems and manage multiple requests simultaneously.
• Good physical condition for regular heavy lifting.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Stress‑resilient and able to work efficiently under pressure.

Required skills

• Truck license A + B.
• Computer literacy and ability to work with warehouse/ERP systems.
• Experience in warehouse operations and handling business software.
