Senior Software Engineer – Payments (Stockholm)

About the role

Epidemic Sound is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Payments team in Stockholm. You will help build and operate the end‑to‑end payment and subscription platform that powers checkout, invoicing, refunds and tax handling for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Own payment and subscription services from design through deployment and monitoring.
• Develop the next‑generation purchase platform in Go and migrate live customers safely.
• Maintain and enhance payment‑provider integrations, including 3DS and SCA compliance.
• Collaborate with Product, Finance and Web teams to support customer‑facing checkout flows.
• Manage infrastructure as code (Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm) and ensure reliable on‑call support.

Required profile

• Several years of experience building and running backend services in production where correctness is critical.
• Strong proficiency in Go or Python and ability to become productive in the other.
• Solid SQL skills and experience with relational data modelling, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms, ideally Google Cloud, and container orchestration.
• Willingness to work with TypeScript/React when frontend changes are needed.
