About the role

We are looking for a Projekteringsledare (Design Manager) specialized in the BEST methodology to join a major rail infrastructure project for a Swedish traffic authority. The position is a full‑time consulting assignment based in Stockholm with a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, steer and coordinate the BEST design process throughout the design and production phases.
• Prepare and manage inquiry documents, technical drawings, schedules and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, conduct reviews and facilitate coordination between technical disciplines.
• Collaborate closely with project management, designers, and production teams to align deliverables.
• Report progress and risks to the client’s project leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex rail or transit design projects.
• Strong flexibility and ability to work closely with a public‑sector client.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the Swedish BEST standards for construction and infrastructure design.
