About the role

We are looking for a Sub‑project Manager for Environmental Assessment to support the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) on the new Gothenburg‑Borås railway and the Bibana‑Mölnlycke segment. This is a full‑time consulting assignment based in Gothenburg with a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, steer and monitor the environmental assessment and permitting work for the railway project.
• Prepare, deliver and quality‑assure the Environmental Impact Assessment (MKB) documentation.
• Drive the formal processes linked to MKB, environmental licensing and planning approvals.
• Coordinate with internal project managers and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on time, cost, scope and risk.
• Report progress and outcomes to the client and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Strong flexibility and ability to collaborate closely with the client.
• Experience in managing environmental assessment work for large infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of Swedish environmental legislation and permitting procedures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
